An evening of vibrant rhythms and rich traditions brought together 170 spectators at the Marcel-Sembat hall.
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, the Marcel-Sembat hall came alive with the sounds and movements of West African culture during the “African Vibrations” gala, organized by Faso Lili.
Before a captivated audience of 170, this colorful evening showcased the wealth of West African heritage while supporting a meaningful solidarity project.
For years, Faso Lili has dedicated itself to promoting traditional West African music and dance through classes, workshops, and performances. This annual gala provided members the chance to present their hard work alongside professional artists.
The show featured live music, choreography, and nearly 70 performers on stage, accompanied by five professional musicians and two professional dancers. The audience enjoyed performances by Samba Diarra, singer-songwriter, Ali Diarra from Les Frères Diarra, and choreographer Moussa Camara. Renowned Malian dancer Mariam Doumbia also joined, adding her talent and energy to the show.
Throughout the evening, spectators were immersed in lively rhythms, vibrant costumes, and a true celebration of West African culture. The intermission offered a warm, convivial moment with refreshments available on-site.
Beyond its artistic appeal, this gala served a solidarity purpose. All proceeds from the event will support Faso Lili’s cultural center project in Burkina Faso, a space dedicated to cultural access, knowledge sharing, and intercultural exchange.
Thanks to the dedication of volunteers, artists, members, and the public, the 2026 edition of “African Vibrations” was a resounding success, reaffirming that culture is a powerful force for connection, sharing, and solidarity.
