The United Nations Security Council has issued a strong condemnation of the recent terrorist attacks that struck multiple regions in Mali, labeling them as heinous and cowardly acts that pose a grave threat to international peace and security.

In an official statement released Friday, the 15-member Council denounced the violent assaults carried out on April 25 and May 6, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. The condemnation was delivered with the strongest possible language, emphasizing the indiscriminate nature of these terrorist acts.

The Council also underscored the urgent need to bring to justice not only the perpetrators of these crimes but also their organizers, financiers, and masterminds. Every individual involved in planning or supporting such terrorist operations must face legal consequences, the statement stressed.

Reaffirming a long-standing principle, the Security Council reiterated that all forms of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of motive, location, timing, or perpetrator. It called on all nations to intensify efforts to combat these threats in full compliance with the UN Charter and international law.

This latest wave of violence in Mali has once again highlighted the persistent challenge of terrorism in the region, prompting renewed calls for coordinated international action to dismantle extremist networks and prevent future attacks.
