Despite an uneventful transfer window so far, Paris Saint-Germain is actively scouting potential reinforcements. The Ligue 1 champions have set their sights on midfielder Mateus Fernandes, currently playing for West Ham, who may be available for around €90 million.

While the Hammers face relegation, Fernandes has stood out with his performances, making him a prime target for top European clubs. The young Portuguese international, just 21, has already drawn interest from multiple Premier League sides, including Tottenham Hotspur, now managed by former Olympique de Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi.

Competition intensifies for Fernandes

The race to sign Fernandes is heating up. Manchester United has been in negotiations with both West Ham and the player’s representatives for weeks. However, they are not alone—Tottenham, under De Zerbi’s guidance, is also eager to secure the midfielder’s services. The Italian coach, fresh from his stint in France, could soon turn his attention to his former rivals in the capital.

Adding to the complexity, Paris Saint-Germain may also explore another option from West Ham: forward Crysencio Summerville, who is currently competing in the FIFA World Cup.
