Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara concluded his foreign mission, arriving back in Abidjan on Saturday, May 23, 2026. His return followed his participation in the significant Africa Forward Summit, which took place in Nairobi, Kenya.

Upon his arrival, the Ivorian Head of State was warmly welcomed by a distinguished delegation. Among those present were Vice-President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, several key government ministers, members of the Presidential Cabinet, and various administrative and military authorities. They gathered to greet him following his international travels.

The mission to Kenya was a strategic initiative aimed at fortifying the cooperative ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the East African nation. During his stay, President Alassane Ouattara engaged in high-level discussions that encompassed crucial economic, diplomatic, and security matters. Furthermore, talks focused on enhancing South-South partnerships among African states, charting a course for shared progress.
