Maurice Kamto is not the only person who can lead the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun, Pierre Emmanuel Binyam argued during the programme “Entretien avec …”.
However, as head of the Commission de clarification et de restauration, Binyam acknowledged that given the current circumstances within the MRC, Maurice Kamto remains the right figure to steer the party.
“There are other people who could manage the MRC besides Maurice Kamto, but under the present situation, we need Maurice Kamto,” Binyam stated on the show “Entretien avec …” aired on STV.
The interview also gave Binyam an opportunity to address the alleged disputes over Kamto’s return to the leadership of the Mouvement pour la renaissance du Cameroun.
“Regarding the claims of contestation over Maurice Kamto’s comeback, I told you clearly that such contestation does not exist. No party body has opened any debate about Kamto returning to the party. On the contrary, motions have been signed urgently requesting his return,” Binyam stressed.
