The Cameroonian Party for National Reconciliation (PCRN), led by Cabral Libii, has officially entered the national governance framework alongside the ruling Democratic Rally of the Cameroonian People (RDPC). Honorable Rolande Ngo Issi, a PCRN Deputy representing Nyong and Kellé, was appointed as a member of the Superior Council of Magistracy through a presidential decree issued on June 2, 2026.
Among other distinguished individuals also appointed to the Council are Sali Dahirou, former Minister of Public Service, and Deputy Soppo Toute Marlyse from Wouri (RDPC). Noteworthy additions include Claude Francis Moukouri, former Vice President of the Special Criminal Court (TCS), as well as Albert Ekono Nna, Engelbert Bengono, Mekoulou Cunégonde Christine épouse Ngotty, and Roger Sockeng.
Born on January 9, 1981, in Yaoundé, Rolande Ngo Issi boasts an impressive career trajectory. She currently holds multiple significant positions: serving as a Deputy in the National Assembly, an alternate member of the Superior Council of Magistracy (a role conferred by presidential appointment from President Paul Biya), Deputy Secretary General of the Network of Women Parliamentarians of Cameroon, a member of the National Steering Committee for the PCRN, and Secretary General for the party’s regional delegation in the Centre region.
Since April 2016, she has also been the national president of the National Consumers Movement (MNC).
Her academic background is equally robust, with a Master’s degree in Child Psychology from the University of Yaoundé 1 – Nkoa Ekele, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Yaoundé 2 – Soa, and a diploma from the École Normale Supérieure (ENS).
Beyond her legislative duties, Rolande Ngo Issi was elected president of the Cameroon Consumers Movement in 2016. She maintains a strong presence on social media, where she actively engages with and inspires Cameroonian youth, particularly in the realm of entrepreneurship.
Recently, Deputy Ngo Issi made a notable intervention during the parliamentary debate on budget orientation. She critically questioned the government’s progress on import substitution, stating, “Import substitution is a term that caught my attention last year during the same exercise. So, let’s be frank: what can the State truly accomplish six months later? Without electrical energy, without stable and high-quality internet connectivity and communication networks, especially in this era of digital expansion, not to mention a fragmented and suffocating tax system, and without a just judicial system?” These poignant questions underscored her commitment to national development and good governance.
Furthermore, she directly challenged the Minister of Finance regarding the unresolved issue of police officers’ salary advancements, which have been pending since 2017. She emphasized, “It certainly does not escape you that since 2017, no salary advancement has been processed for the Police, whereas, right next door in the army, it is automatic.”
Prior to and alongside her political career, Rolande Ngo Issi has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit. She is a certified personal development coach and proudly notes her 11 years of experience as a teacher in rural communities, highlighting her dedication to grassroots development.
