Morocco’s remarkable rise under strategic leadership

In a recent interview, Anissa Saysay, a German-Moroccan politician from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU)—the party of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz—highlighted the Kingdom’s transformation into a modern, stable nation under the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. She emphasized that this progress stems from a long-term strategy focused on robust infrastructure development and economic sovereignty.
Key projects such as high-speed rail, expanded ports, cutting-edge industrial zones, and thriving automotive and aerospace sectors reflect the Kingdom’s disciplined approach to nation-building. Saysay also noted Morocco’s strategic geographic and cultural positioning, which enhances its political and economic influence as a bridge between Europe, Africa, and the Arab world.
Energy transition and social progress
