How Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe are covering the PSG-Arsenal Champions League final

This Saturday at 6 p.m., Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe will deploy extensive coverage for the PSG-Arsenal Champions League final. While Canal+ holds exclusive rights, M6 will broadcast the match live in free-to-air, and L’Équipe will dedicate its entire afternoon and evening to the event despite lacking broadcasting rights.

Canal+ will showcase its expertise in Champions League coverage ahead of the PSG-Arsenal clash. The channel’s sports channel will go live at 9 a.m., providing live updates and connecting with Budapest. A special edition of La Clinique des sports, hosted by Lyes Houhou, will analyze the physical and mental preparation of PSG players, featuring health professionals and Alain Roche as a guest.

From 1 p.m., Canal+ will launch Canal Bus, a live show from the streets of Budapest, hosted by Jules Deremble. The Canal Champions Club team—including Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau, David Ginola, Robert Pirès, Christophe Jallet, Bertrand Latour, and Gauthier Kuntzmann—will be on-site, broadcasting from the stadium’s pitch-side. The CCC will take over the airwaves from 4 p.m., offering pre-match analysis and post-game discussions.

Commentary teams and special programming

The match will be commentated by Paul Tchoukriel and Sidney Govou, with Margot Dumont and Dominique Armand as pitch-side reporters and interviewers. Following the final whistle, the CCC will resume its coverage from the pitch. A prime-time special, Late Finale Club, will follow, hosted by Nicolas Tourriol from Canal+’s studios, featuring guests like Samir Nasri, Aline Riera, Mickaël Landreau, and Tony Chapron.

M6, the free-to-air broadcaster of the final, will send part of its 2026 World Cup team to Budapest. Commentators Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou will be joined by Samuel Umtiti as co-commentator, with Virginie Sainsily on pitch-side duties.

L’Équipe, which does not hold broadcasting rights, will dedicate its entire schedule to the final. The coverage begins at 4:45 p.m. with L’Équipe de Greg, hosted by Grégory Ascher. From 6:45 p.m. to 7 p.m., Olivier Ménard will present L’Équipe de la mi-temps, followed by L’Équipe du Soir from 7:55 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., hosted by Messaoud Benterki. The evening will wrap up with L’Équipe du Soir la prolong from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The lineup of analysts includes Johan Micoud, Jérôme Alonzo, Ludovic Obraniak, Raymond Domenech, and Béatrice Kaboré.
