The President of Chad, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, has returned to N’Djamena following an official state visit to the United Arab Emirates. The high-level diplomatic mission concluded in the early evening, marking the end of a series of strategic engagements in Abu Dhabi.
Key diplomatic exchanges during the UAE visit
The Chadian leader held two pivotal meetings with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates. The first discussion took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second occurred at the official residence of the Chadian Head of State.
Warm welcome upon arrival in N’Djamena
Upon landing at N’Djamena International Airport, President Déby was greeted by a high-profile delegation. The welcoming committee included the Prime Minister, His Excellency Allah-Maye Halina, alongside senior military officials such as the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces. The government was also represented by the Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Presidency, as well as key presidential advisors and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
