Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, met with Chad’s Prime Minister Allamaye Halina to advance regional logistics solutions
Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè, held high-level talks in N’Djamena with Chad’s Prime Minister Allamaye Halina on May 13, 2026, focused on accelerating trade corridor efficiency between Douala and N’Djamena.
The working session followed the tripartite forum involving Chad, Cameroon, and the Central African Republic, where transport ministers reviewed progress on key infrastructure and logistics challenges.
Attendees included Chad’s Transport Minister Fatima Goukouni Weddeye, alongside executives from the Port of Douala, Chad’s Shippers’ Council, and the Central African Republic’s Shippers’ Council.
Key issues on the agenda covered the outcomes of the N’Djamena forum, follow-up on 2024 recommendations from Kribi, updates on the CamTchad joint venture, the condition of the trans-Cameroonian corridor, and persistent obstacles faced by truckers along the Douala-N’Djamena route.
The Cameroonian delegation reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing cargo transit efficiency toward Chad. In response, Chad’s Prime Minister pledged to address the status of Cameroonian truckers currently detained in Chad, promising a positive resolution.
Halina also highlighted ongoing roadblocks that continue to disrupt freight movement along the critical Douala-N’Djamena corridor. Following the meeting, he tasked the Cameroonian minister with relaying these concerns to relevant authorities back home.
