The Université de Lomé (UL) continues to expand its global footprint. On Friday, 5 June 2026, the institution signed a framework cooperation agreement with Creighton University, a Jesuit university based in Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States.
The deal was signed by UL President Professor Kossivi Hounaké and Creighton University President Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson. Under this partnership, both universities aim to deepen collaboration in training, research, and knowledge sharing.
The accord provides for joint training and research programmes, as well as enhanced mobility for students, faculty, and researchers. It also paves the way for conferences, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest.
Both institutions commit to sharing academic resources and developing collaborative projects. Special attention is given to protecting intellectual property and ensuring confidentiality of information exchanged during research work.
5-year agreement
Concluded for an initial renewable term of five years, this agreement opens fresh opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation benefiting the university community.
With this new partnership, the Université de Lomé advances its international outreach policy and reinforces its ambition to strengthen its presence in global university networks.
