Strengthening its network across Morocco, Uber has announced its official launch in Agadir and Tangier. This strategic expansion is designed to support the country’s thriving tourism sector and builds upon the ride-hailing services already established in Casablanca and Rabat. The move comes as Morocco solidifies its position as a premier travel destination while preparing to co-host the 2030 World Cup.

With a national goal of attracting 26 million visitors by 2030, Uber aims to provide a reliable, safe, and convenient mobility solution. The objective is to elevate the overall travel experience, ensuring seamless transitions for tourists moving from hotels to major landmarks and exploring urban centers with ease.

Enhanced mobility for growing demand

By introducing services in Agadir and Tangier, the platform is addressing a significant rise in transportation needs. Residents and travelers in these cities can now utilize the Uber application to book rides, with both UberX and UberXL options available, matching the service standards found in the nation’s largest economic hubs.

This expansion is backed by impressive growth in the tourism industry. Morocco welcomed a record 19.8 million tourists in 2025, representing a 14% increase compared to the previous year. Furthermore, tourism revenues reached 124 billion dirhams between January and November. The momentum has continued into 2026, with 4.3 million visitors recorded during the first quarter, marking a 7% rise over the same period last year.
