President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Faure Gnassingbé, conducted a high-level inspection on May 7, 2026 within the Operation Koundjoaré zone in northern Togo. The strategic visit aimed to assess the security landscape and reinforce support for troops actively engaged against emerging terrorist threats.
The Head of State began the mission with an in-depth operational briefing at the Command Post, followed by an on-site assessment at the advanced outpost in Tchamonga—a key position in the security framework.
