The Ambassador underscored Morocco’s economic achievements, citing a 4.6% growth rate in Q1 2026, controlled inflation at 1.1%, and an 18.4% surge in agricultural value-added. The African Development Bank ranked Morocco Africa’s top industrial powerhouse in May 2026, driven by competitive sectors like automotive, aerospace, agribusiness, and renewable energy.

The tourism sector flourished, welcoming 7.7 million visitors by May 2026, including 1.7 million in the single month of May. Casablanca Finance City climbed to the 49th global ranking in the Global Financial Centres Index, reflecting investor confidence.

Morocco’s African strategy gained momentum with the West Africa-Atlantic Gas Pipeline, linking Nigeria to Morocco. Signed on July 19, 2026, during the Freetown summit by ECOWAS leaders, this project exemplifies South-South cooperation.

• Expanded scholarships—250 for the 2026 academic year, up from 150 previously, focusing on high-value fields.
• The inauguration of the Mohammed VI Mosque in N’Djamena in 2026, symbolizing spiritual and historical bonds.
• Strengthened exchanges in health, housing, urban planning, animal health, justice, vocational training, military cooperation, customs, anti-corruption, cybersecurity, and media.
• The resumption of Royal Air Maroc’s direct flight between Casablanca and N’Djamena in September 2025, boosting connectivity.

Vision 2030: Chad’s Development Plan Garners Moroccan Support

The Ambassador praised Chad’s National Development Plan ‘Chad Connexion 2030’ as a catalyst for high-impact projects. Morocco reaffirmed its commitment to deepening bilateral ties, aligning with the aspirations of King Mohammed VI and Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

In closing, Ambassador Erroja expressed gratitude to individuals and institutions fostering Morocco-Chad relations.
