While attention remains fixed on the 2026 World Cup, Paris Saint-Germain are already shaping their summer transfer window. With Gonçalo Ramos likely to pack his bags, Luis Campos appears to be targeting at least three new arrivals, and one name stands out: a rising Ligue 1 talent.

Over the past few years, PSG have completely changed direction. Gone are the blockbuster signings and superstar names; the capital club now focuses on young talents through an effective post-formation strategy. This shift has already paid dividends with players like Désiré Doué and João Neves, who have become undisputed starters in Paris.

Akliouche on the move

The trend could continue with a young attacking midfielder from Ligue 1. That player is Maghnes Akliouche, who was already monitored last summer and now appears set to leave during this transfer window. Yet the French international remains tight-lipped about his future. “What matters to me is enjoying myself, continuing to be happy on the pitch, and keeping my sky blue,” he explained a few months ago. “I want to bring joy to people and my teammates, repay the confidence Monaco has shown me, and above all maintain my drive to improve and become more decisive. Talking about anything else makes no sense today.”

PSG in pole position

Currently at the 2026 World Cup with the French national team, Akliouche will eventually have to address his club future. Several clubs are tracking him, but Paris Saint-Germain are now considered the clear frontrunners to win the race. In the Principality, Monaco are reportedly expecting an offer for their asset, who is valued at around €50 million by the specialized website Transfermarkt.
