With the 2025-2026 season drawing to a close after a historic Champions League triumph, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is already turning its attention to squad reinforcements for the upcoming campaign.
Fresh off a dramatic Champions League final victory over Arsenal (1-1, 4-3 on penalties), the PSG squad has secured back-to-back European titles. Now, the club’s leadership is evaluating strategic additions to maintain their dominance in European football next season.
Among the targets in their crosshairs is Aleksey Batrakov, a 20-year-old attacking midfielder currently plying his trade at Lokomotiv Moscow. According to his agent, Dmitry Cheltsov, the deal is practically sealed. Speaking on a prominent Russian television program, Cheltsov revealed:
« The time has come to confirm that, at 95%, Batrakov will be joining PSG. The clubs have already held over ten phone discussions, and Luis Campos is set to travel to Moscow this week to finalize the agreement. Unless an unforeseen obstacle arises, this transfer is all but done. The fee is set at €25 million, with an annual salary of around €5 to €6 million.»
Batrakov’s impressive 2025-26 season saw him net 17 goals and provide 13 assists across 36 appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow in all competitions. His dynamic offensive contributions align perfectly with PSG’s recruitment strategy under their current leadership.
