In a formal setting at the Palais Toumaï, the newly appointed Ambassador of the European Union to Chad, Amador Sanchez Rico, officially presented his credentials to President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno on May 19. The event underscored the beginning of a three-year diplomatic mission dedicated to fostering stronger ties between Chad and the European Union.
The ceremony was attended by Fatimé Aldjineh Garfa, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs, with responsibility for African Integration and Chadians Abroad. The European diplomat arrived with key members of his team, including Sona Jarosova, Head of the Political Section, and Karl Rawert, Head of Cooperation for the European Union Delegation in Chad.
