Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé opened the second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, bringing together over 700 investors to boost the country’s economic growth.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, dedicated to private investors, kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« Today marks a pivotal moment in this consultative process, focusing on investment, enterprise, and value creation, » he stated. « Our goal is to mobilize the private sector to drive this ambitious development agenda forward. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined us for this critical discussion. »
The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private-sector representatives who traveled to Abidjan to engage in strategic dialogue. The Prime Minister emphasized that this forum serves as a key platform for aligning public and private visions to accelerate economic transformation.
« Your commitment alongside us reflects the trust you place in Ivory Coast’s economic potential and growth trajectory, » he added. « As key partners, you play a decisive role in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive, job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest in our future. »
The government has made the private sector the cornerstone of Ivory Coast’s economic transformation, he noted. With a proven track record of resilience and adaptability—averaging 6.5% annual growth in recent years—the country stands out as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« Today, you are presented with a rapidly expanding market brimming with opportunities, » he continued. « This session will fast-track investments in priority sectors outlined in the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to add value, and the development of critical infrastructure—transport, digital technology, logistics—to enhance competitiveness and appeal. Human capital investment, innovation, and essential services will also be key drivers of a more productive and inclusive economy. »
During the first day, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, over 3,000 participants from 49 countries—including Ivory Coast—registered their support.
Leading investors echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of the French Business Movement (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), reaffirmed their confidence in Ivory Coast’s leadership. They pledged substantial financial commitments to help implement the PND 2026-2030.
