Independence Day 2026: Meambly Tié Évariste Reflects on Political Journey and Future Plans

On the occasion of Côte d’Ivoire’s 66th Independence Day, former Deputy Meambly Tié Évariste shared a heartfelt message with his fellow Ivorian citizens, particularly those from the Cavally, Guémon, and Tonkpi regions. His address marked both a personal milestone and a transition in his professional journey.

From Political Service to Academic and Entrepreneurial Pursuits

Reflecting on his decade-long tenure as a Deputy and his roles as the first President of the Guémon Regional Council and head of the parliamentary group Agir pour le Peuple, Meambly Tié Évariste emphasized that public service extends far beyond political office. He stated, “Public service is not confined to political functions. It encompasses every arena where experience, knowledge, investment, and commitment can drive the development of Côte d’Ivoire and Africa.”

Over the past seven years, he has pursued advanced academic studies, earning a Master’s in Organizational Management and another in Public Policy Management with a specialization in African Potential from Sciences Po Paris. Currently, he is completing a PhD in Management Sciences, with his defense scheduled for October 2026.

Literary Contributions and Upcoming Publications

Parallel to his academic achievements, Meambly Tié Évariste has contributed to public discourse through writing. He published Vaincre ou l’art de transformer l’adversité en engagement, a book on resilience, and Partenariat public-privé et financement des infrastructures routières en milieu rural, which explores innovative financing models for rural infrastructure. A third book, focusing on entrepreneurship, real estate, and economic development, is set to release in October 2026.

A New Chapter: Entrepreneurship and Investment

Having spent the majority of his political career with the RHDP, Meambly Tié Évariste announced a shift towards entrepreneurship and investment. Since 2012, he has expanded his economic activities beyond Côte d’Ivoire, and since 2020, he has been based in France, where he has established a foundation for his international business ventures.

With his doctorate on the horizon, he expressed his intention to channel his energy into job creation, funding structural projects, and fostering international partnerships for Africa’s benefit. He stated, “This decision is not directed against anyone. It does not diminish the respect and recognition I have for all those I served alongside. It simply marks a new chapter in my life, focused on entrepreneurship, knowledge sharing, investment, and development.”

Meambly Tié Évariste reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, national cohesion, education, innovation, and youth empowerment. He expressed gratitude to the people of Cavally, Guémon, and Tonkpi for their unwavering support and encouraged them to uphold unity, hard work, solidarity, and brotherhood.
