Gabon’s new B2 annex boosts security and intelligence capabilities
The B2 headquarters, operated by the Directorate General for Counter-Infiltration and Military Security (DGCISM), has inaugurated a cutting-edge annex in Libreville. This strategic development was unveiled on August 13, 2026, during an official ceremony led by President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema at the Bellevue 1 district in the 3rd arrondissement.
The three-story annex, spanning 900 m², represents a significant leap in operational efficiency and confidentiality for Gabon’s military intelligence services. Designed with state-of-the-art security features, it aligns with the government’s broader initiative to modernize public institutions.
Optimized operational structure for enhanced efficiency
The new facility is meticulously structured to streamline internal coordination. The ground floor hosts the Judicial Investigations Directorate, while the first floor is dedicated to the Military Security Directorate. The second floor serves as the operational hub for the DGCISM leadership.
Military leadership praises modern infrastructure
Colonel Joseph Ondo Be, the DGCISM Director General, commended the annex as a “strategic asset” during the inauguration. He highlighted its critical role in improving working conditions for intelligence officers and emphasized the need for continued modernization across the agency’s network.
The colonel also underscored the importance of maintaining rigorous oversight while extending modernization efforts to the main B2 building, provincial branches, and vehicle fleet in the near future.

The ceremony concluded with a solemn oath-taking by DGCISM personnel, reaffirming their unwavering loyalty to the Republic. This symbolic act underscored the agency’s dedication to upholding the nation’s security in a challenging political and security landscape.
