Chad evaluates two-year progress of presidential program

The General Secretariat of the Government convened a technical validation workshop on Tuesday, June 2, to assess the two-year progress report of the Head of State’s program. The event, held at N’Djaména’s Radisson Blu Hotel, brings together officials and stakeholders from June 2 to June 5 to scrutinize data from May 2024 to May 2026.

Dr. Ramatou Mahamat Outouin, Secretary-General of the Government, emphasized the significance of this exercise during her opening remarks. She framed the workshop not merely as a procedural review but as a pivotal moment to measure the government’s accountability to its citizens. “This gathering is about evaluating how far we’ve come in fulfilling the commitments made to the people of Chad,” she stated.

The minister highlighted the core principles guiding the Head of State’s agenda—public transformation and responsiveness to citizen concerns. She underscored transparency as a cornerstone of governance, stressing the need to rebuild trust between institutions and the population. “Every figure in this report represents dedicated individuals who worked diligently behind the scenes,” she acknowledged, honoring the teams behind the data.

Dr. Outouin acknowledged the challenges of such evaluations but insisted on their necessity. “This isn’t about handing out praise; it’s about understanding realities,” she said, urging participants to critically examine both achievements and shortcomings. She referenced the aspirations of farmers, teachers, and entrepreneurs, reiterating that government efforts must translate into tangible benefits for all sectors of society.

Concluding her address, she described the process as both technical and deeply human. “This report must reflect an honest account of progress and the work that still lies ahead,” she declared. With these words, she officially inaugurated the workshop, marking the start of four days of rigorous analysis and collective reflection.
