The German referee etched his name into football history in 2017 during Barcelona’s miraculous Champions League comeback at Camp Nou, where he played a pivotal role. After blowing the whistle on 254 Bundesliga fixtures and overseeing more than 650 matches across all competitions, Aytekin concluded an 18-year top-flight career.
