Under the direct coordination of the Abéché municipal mayor, efforts to bolster public hygiene and ensure food safety have seen a significant breakthrough. This Thursday, the administration of the 1st arrondissement successfully led an operation to dismantle an illegal slaughterhouse located in the Farik Aguek neighborhood.

The intervention, spearheaded by Hissein Hassan Tabit, the assistant to the delegated administrator, effectively halted unauthorized slaughtering activities that flagrantly disregarded established sanitary and regulatory standards. During the raid, several heads of livestock were discovered on the premises, confirming the scale of the illicit operation.

Officials from the arrondissement emphatically reiterated that all animal slaughtering must exclusively take place within approved facilities. This critical requirement is in place to guarantee the wholesomeness and safety of meat intended for public consumption. They also announced their firm intention to continue rigorous control operations, proactively combating any practices that could jeopardize the health and well-being of the population.

Through this resolute action, the commune of Abéché strongly reaffirms its unwavering commitment to enforcing hygiene regulations, safeguarding consumers, and fostering a healthy environment for all its residents.
