The Chadian government and the Libyan authorities have strengthened their bilateral cooperation in various fields, including consular, economic, commercial, transportation, and communication. A direct flight between N’Djamena and Benghazi is being discussed to facilitate mobility and exchanges.

A meeting between the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdelhadi Al-Houij, and the Chadian Consul General, Hassan Ahmat Daissire, was held in Benghazi on July 13, 2026. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in consular, economic, commercial, transportation, and communication areas.

The program of voluntary return for Chadian nationals has also been discussed, with collaboration between the authorities and international organizations. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening historical and fraternal relations between Chad and Libya.
