The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Orange Côte d’Ivoire have joined forces to drive digital inclusion, empower young people—especially young women—and boost entrepreneurship across the country. A landmark agreement signed in Abidjan formalizes this collaboration, setting the stage for transformative initiatives rooted in digital innovation.

Through this partnership, both organizations will roll out targeted digital skills training programs, provide startup support, and extend digital initiatives to underserved rural areas and vulnerable communities. The Orange Digital Center will serve as a central hub for these efforts, offering mentorship and resources to aspiring entrepreneurs.

Speaking about the significance of this collaboration, the UNDP Resident Representative in Côte d’Ivoire emphasized that the partnership marks a pivotal step toward fostering equitable and sustainable growth. By leveraging private-sector expertise and international partnerships, the initiative aims to bridge digital divides and unlock new economic opportunities.

Orange Côte d’Ivoire’s CEO reiterated the company’s dedication to empowering youth and marginalized groups through concrete digital opportunities. Together, the partners plan to strengthen Côte d’Ivoire’s position in the global digital economy by aligning their efforts with the National Development Plan and the Sustainable Development Goals.
