The only minor blip was the 4-2 win at Levante, marred by two defensive errors late on. With 28 goals to their name, Hansi Flick boasts by far the best attack in Spain, without even fielding a recognised centre-forward. Stationed up front, Raphinha embodies this approach: after his hat-trick against Racing, the captain has already found the net nine times and leads Lamine Yamal, who has seven, in the scoring charts.
The summer was eventful in Catalonia, though. Deprived of Robert Lewandowski, who left for MLS, Deco spent over €170 million. Anthony Gordon immediately made his mark on the left with four assists, while Karim Adeyemi and Gabriel Jesus broaden the offensive options.
