Senegal’s president Macky Sall calls for calm amid opposition crisis
Following days of unrest triggered by the arrest of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko in a morality case, Senegalese President Macky Sall addressed the nation. He urged citizens to avoid confrontation and announced easing of the curfew from midnight to 5 a.m. to support economic recovery.
