Mankono recently hosted a significant political gathering as the departmental secretariat of the Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la démocratie et la paix (RHDP) for Mankono commune and sub-prefecture convened its strategic relaunch on July 17 and 18, 2026. The two-day event centered on evaluating the outcomes of the 2025 elections, enhancing militant capabilities, and revitalizing foundational party structures.
Cissé Namory, the RHDP departmental secretary overseeing the political constituency spanning Mankono commune and sub-prefecture, reiterated the unwavering commitment of party members in Béré to bolster the presidential party’s influence and efficacy.
During the proceedings, Namory expressed satisfaction with the RHDP’s triumph in the recent legislative elections within his political department, where Deputy Salimata Fofana épouse Méité secured a resounding victory. However, he also voiced concerns regarding instances of indiscipline observed among certain militants, suggesting that such conduct had, at times, received tacit support from various party executives.
“We bear a profound duty of sincerity towards our militants to safeguard the cohesion and effectiveness of our political endeavors,” Namory asserted, issuing a fervent appeal for heightened discipline and unwavering unity within the RHDP ranks.
The political gathering unfolded with two primary focal points. The inaugural day featured an insightful reflection seminar under the theme: “Learning from the recent electoral process and charting the course for the new militant cycle.”
A highlight of the event was a compelling conference led by Pr Soro David, the Deputy National Secretary of the RHDP responsible for political structures. His presentation delved into “The contribution of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 to the advancement of the Béré region.”
Professor Soro meticulously outlined the achievements realized across Béré through the PND 2021-2025, subsequently detailing the promising prospects offered by the forthcoming PND 2026-2030. “The Béré region has significantly benefited from the PND 2021-2025 and stands to gain even more substantially with the PND 2026-2030,” he affirmed, highlighting numerous planned initiatives spanning the education, health, and infrastructure sectors.
Professor Soro also lauded the dedicated involvement of regional executives and citizens who stand firmly alongside President Alassane Ouattara. He emphasized that their active participation represents a crucial catalyst for Béré’s development and for reinforcing governmental actions within this vital part of Côte d’Ivoire.
