The South Korean international, who has impressed in Ligue 1, is viewed as a potential successor to Antoine Griezmann at the Spanish club. Atlético Madrid is reportedly willing to invest around €40 million, including potential bonuses, to secure his services. This deal would mark PSG’s second major sale of the summer, following the departure of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan for a reported €74 million.

Atlético Madrid hints at Lee Kang-in deal

Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético Madrid, recently addressed the club’s transfer strategy. While he did not confirm Lee Kang-in’s arrival, he emphasized the club’s ambition to strengthen its squad. « We are working to recruit key players, and we are succeeding, » Cerezo stated. « We have enough quality in the team to field 10 or 12 players in the next World Cup final. We are thrilled with our squad—these are world champions. »

Maghnes Akliouche emerges as PSG’s next signing

With Lee Kang-in’s exit all but confirmed, PSG is already preparing for his replacement. Reports indicate that midfielder Maghnes Akliouche is close to finalizing his move to the Parc des Princes. The French international, currently at AS Monaco, is expected to join the capital club once the international break concludes. The deal could be finalized shortly after France’s match against England in the World Cup playoff, with Akliouche filling the void left by Lee Kang-in’s departure.
