The PASTEF-Les Patriotes party has just completed a two-day political tour across the Jolof region. The delegation traversed all 19 communes in the Linguère department—from Dahra to Barkédji, including stops in Sagatta and Yang-Yang—led by party leader Ousmane Sonko, State Minister Habib Sy, and a host of national officials and coalition allies.
This deep dive into the heart of the Jolof was more than just a show of strength—it was a testament to the party’s grassroots anchoring. The itinerary blended courtesy visits with customary and religious leaders, strategic meetings with party structures (youth, women, and cadres), and lively exchanges with local communities.
Expanding territorial reach with a new local hub
Following this intensive mobilization, local party branches unveiled their roadmap for the coming period. The crowning moment? The official inauguration of the PASTEF’s new departmental headquarters in Linguère. This launch also signals the kickoff of a membership drive, designed to tighten the party’s territorial grip through door-to-door engagement in villages and neighborhoods.

In tandem with this internal restructuring, political leaders issued a rallying cry for unity. While the appeal targets long-standing militants and supporters, it extends an open invitation to political actors from other parties who share the vision of territorial progress championed by PASTEF.
