Since the end of 2025, the number of displaced individuals who have resumed normal life has increased significantly, with returnees now accounting for 1,034 localities—up from 871 previously. As of December 2025, approximately 1.16 million people had already made the journey back to their homes.

The latest figures were presented during a mid-year performance review of the Ministry of Solidarity. With just over halfway through 2026, the ministry has achieved 46.06% of its annual targets, highlighting ongoing efforts to support displaced communities.
In the first half of the year, more than 480,000 vulnerable individuals received critical assistance, including food supplies, essential household items, and targeted support to help them rebuild their lives. These coordinated efforts are designed to ensure that returns are not only possible but sustainable.
Officials have underscored the urgent need to accelerate the rehabilitation of homes and infrastructure in affected areas. Restoring safe and functional living conditions is seen as a cornerstone for encouraging continued voluntary returns and preventing future displacement.
