Niamey readies for the 2026 OHADA national excellence competition
A call from the OHADA Club of Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey
The esteemed Club OHADA UAM/FSJP, in a collaborative effort with the International Committee of the OHADA Genius in Training Competition (CIGHO), is proud to announce the upcoming National OHADA Law Excellence Competition for 2026. This significant event aims to identify and celebrate exceptional legal talent within Niger’s academic landscape, specifically focusing on OHADA law principles.
This rigorous selection process is open to all third-year undergraduate (Licence 3) and Master’s degree students enrolled in both public and private universities across Niger, as well as those attending specialized accounting schools. It represents a prime opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to showcase their expertise in OHADA legal frameworks.
Prospective participants are invited to submit their applications until June 15, 2026. Submissions must be made by teams consisting of three (3) candidates, with the crucial requirement that each team includes at least one female participant, promoting diversity and inclusion in the legal field.
Who can participate?
- Law students (Licence 3 and Master’s levels)
- Economics students (Licence 3 and Master’s levels)
- Students from the Justice Section of the National School of Administration (Licence 3 and Master’s levels)
Competition stages
1. Written assessments :
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) designed to test comprehensive knowledge
- Questions on African integration, assessing understanding of regional dynamics
- The intriguing « Who Am I? » segment
- Challenging relay questions
2. Oral assessment :
- A compelling pleading exercise, evaluating advocacy skills and legal argumentation
