N’Djamena security sweep yields 447 arrests in 10th arrondissement

A significant joint security operation in N’Djamena’s 10th arrondissement resulted in the apprehension of 447 individuals and the confiscation of illicit weapons. Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache lauded the dedication of the security forces.

A comprehensive joint security sweep was recently conducted across the 10th arrondissement of N’Djamena, Chad, involving a robust deployment of the National Gendarmerie, National Police, GNNT, and various other specialized agencies. This intensive operation was overseen by high-ranking officials, including Police Controller General Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Major General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar, with the direct involvement of Minister of Public Security Ali Ahmat Aghabache.

The concerted efforts of the security forces yielded significant results. Authorities confiscated a cache of weapons and numerous irregular vehicles. Furthermore, the operation led to the apprehension of 165 foreign nationals residing without proper documentation, alongside 282 Chadian citizens who were unable to present valid identification. In total, 447 individuals were taken into custody during this extensive initiative. Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache publicly commended the unwavering professionalism and commitment demonstrated by the participating security personnel throughout the exercise.
