Moroccan foreign minister Nasser Bourita met on Wednesday in Rabat with Crispin Mbadu Phanzu, the deputy minister for Francophonie and Congolese abroad in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mbadu Phanzu was carrying a personal message from DRC president Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo to King Mohammed VI.
Following the talks, Mbadu Phanzu told reporters that his visit highlights the strong bilateral cooperation between Morocco and the DRC, two nations linked by a long shared history. He added that the purpose of his trip to the kingdom is to promote his country’s candidacy for the secretary-general post of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF).
