Without Champions League football next season, Olympique de Marseille must accept losing key players, including Mason Greenwood. While AS Roma has shown interest in the English forward, Fenerbahçe is determined to take the lead in this race. A new offer could arrive in the coming days.

The question is no longer whether Mason Greenwood will leave OM during the summer transfer window, but when. The English attacker holds the highest market value in the squad and must be sold to help the Marseille club balance its books. AS Roma, Atlético Madrid, Fenerbahçe, and Al-Hilal are among the possible destinations. However, OM does not plan to sell Mason Greenwood cheaply, especially since Manchester United will receive 40% of the transfer fee.
Fenerbahçe to raise their bid
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Fenerbahçe offered €35 million to OM, which did not respond. This has not discouraged the Turkish club, which could make a new offer before the end of the month, as reported by the Corriere della Sera. OM is pushing in this direction and hopes to find a quick solution, as the DNCG has requested additional information from the club before making its decision. Meanwhile, AS Roma has not given up yet.
What fee for Greenwood’s transfer?
It remains to be seen how much OM will receive, with the clock ticking. A few days ago, journalist Karim Bennati questioned the amounts mentioned so far. “Six months ago, when Greenwood was on fire, we talked about much higher figures. Now, with Marseille’s end of season and his less impressive finish… Are we looking at €50 million for OM? Honestly, looking at prices across Europe today, a player who can score around 20 goals each season in Ligue 1 is a bargain,” he said on L’Équipe channel. “If I were OM, they already had a clause to raise it to €60 million on July 1, I’d wait a bit longer to find a buyer.”
