The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the neutralization of more than 100 armed combatants.

According to an official statement, the operations targeted members of the Jama’at Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimeen (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA). Thirteen airstrikes were conducted, leading to the destruction of six armored vehicles and a pickup truck.

The military confirmed that these counter-terrorism efforts took place on Tuesday and emphasized their ongoing commitment to dismantling armed groups across the country. Forces are conducting operations with “discipline and firmness,” in close collaboration with international partners.

The Russian Africa Corps also shared details on the operation through their X platform. Their statement highlighted the successful destruction of multiple militant vehicles, including a drone strike on another vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment.

The Corps described the joint efforts as “fruitful operations” alongside Malian troops, reaffirming their intention to continue targeting militant positions and supply lines.
