In line with the Assembly’s mandate to scrutinize government actions, Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko and his cabinet are set to face lawmakers today for another round of topical questions. The session, scheduled for May 22, 2026, was confirmed by El Malick Ndiaye, Speaker of the National Assembly.
This structured exchange will give parliamentarians a chance to question the head of government and key ministers on pressing economic, social, and political issues. Debates are expected to revolve around the current economic climate, inflation, unemployment, progress on institutional reforms, and ongoing public policies.
Since taking office in April 2024, Ousmane Sonko has participated in four such sessions, turning these exchanges into a routine and influential feature of Mali’s parliamentary calendar.
