Abidjan, July 9, 2026 — The second day of the Consultative Group for the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030, dedicated to investors, was inaugurated in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« Today marks a pivotal step in this consultative process focused on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. The goal is to mobilize the private investments essential for executing our development vision, » stated the Prime Minister. He highlighted the strong turnout of over 700 investors from friendly nations who traveled to the meeting.
The government’s top executive addressed an audience of business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives who had convened in Abidjan, emphasizing the significance of this gathering as both a dialogue platform and a means to align shared development goals.
« Dear partners, your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Ivory Coast’s economic outlook and growth potential. You are key players in turning our vision into reality—a more competitive and job-creating economy. Success hinges on your willingness to invest, » he remarked.
Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s decision to position the private sector as the driving force behind Ivory Coast’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the country’s resilient economy, adapting to global shifts with an average growth rate of 6.5% in recent years, solidifies its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« This is an expanding market with vast opportunities for you, investors. Today’s event will fast-track investments in the PND 2026-2030 priority sectors, including industrialization and local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, development of strategic infrastructure in transport, digital technology, and logistics to bolster competitiveness, and investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services for a more productive and inclusive economy, » he emphasized.
He recalled that the first day, dedicated to institutional partners and the presentation of Ivory Coast’s development strategy, attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including the host nation.
In solidarity with the government’s vision, leaders from the private sector echoed their confidence and readiness to contribute. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivory Coast Enterprises (CGECI), Mehdi Tazi, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial commitments to support the PND 2026-2030 implementation.
