The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, focused on mobilizing private investment, kicked off in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire on July 9, 2026. Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé led the session, bringing together over 700 investors from allied nations to bolster the country’s economic momentum.
Addressing the assembly, the Prime Minister framed the gathering as a pivotal moment to align public and private sectors around a shared vision for economic transformation. « This marks a new chapter in our collective effort to harness private capital, drive enterprise growth, and generate sustainable value for Côte d’Ivoire, » he stated. With business leaders, investors, and private sector delegates filling the venue, he emphasized the forum’s dual role as a dialogue platform and a catalyst for collaborative progress.
Robert Beugré Mambé underscored the government’s strategic pivot toward private sector leadership in economic revival. « You, as investors, are not just participants—you are the backbone of our ambition to build a more competitive, job-rich economy. Your confidence in Côte d’Ivoire’s growth trajectory is the foundation of this partnership, » he asserted. He highlighted the nation’s proven economic resilience, citing an average 6.5% annual growth over recent years and positioning Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most vibrant economies.
The Prime Minister outlined key sectors primed for investment under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure expansion (transport, digital, logistics), human capital development, innovation, and essential services. « This expanding market offers unparalleled opportunities to accelerate progress in these priority areas, » he noted. The event’s agenda was designed to fast-track project financing and partnerships in these domains.
He also referenced the first day’s institutional partner segment, which attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire, to discuss the national development strategy. Industry leaders echoed the Prime Minister’s optimism. Ahmed Cissé (President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises, CGECI), Mehdi Tazi (President of the Africa Committee of MEDEF France), Mohamed Gouled (Vice-President of the International Finance Corporation), and a Moroccan business federation representative pledged substantial financial commitments, reaffirming their faith in Côte d’Ivoire’s development roadmap.
