Ivory coast opposition activists freed after nine months in custody

Six local leaders of Ivory Coast’s main opposition party, the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI), walked free on Monday following nine months in detention. Their lawyer confirmed the release in a statement posted on social media.
