The Moroccan Royal Armed Forces delegation, led by General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General and Commander of the Southern Zone, concluded a significant working visit to Mauritania on Tuesday. The delegation was warmly received by President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghezouani in Nouakchott, with the Moroccan Ambassador to Mauritania, Hamid Chabar, also present for the meeting.
During the same day, General Berrid paid a visit to the Mauritanian Ministry of Defense, where he engaged in productive discussions with Defense Minister Hanana Ould Sidi. In a symbolic gesture, the Minister presented General Berrid with the Commander grade National Order of Merit on behalf of the Mauritanian President, honoring his leadership and contributions.
Later, General Berrid and the Chief of Staff of the Mauritanian Armed Forces co-chaired the sixth session of the Joint Military Commission. Both sides reviewed the outstanding progress in bilateral military cooperation, highlighting tangible achievements that underscore the depth of the strategic partnership between the two nations.
