Gabon to produce military uniforms locally for defense forces

The National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, National Defense, and Regional Integration Committee has reviewed a draft law establishing a facility dedicated to manufacturing uniforms for Gabon’s defense and security forces. Presented by the Minister of State for National Defense, Brigitte Onkanowa, the proposal aims to establish a local production capability for military attire, which has historically relied heavily on imports. This move aligns with the country’s broader goal of enhancing the operational autonomy of its armed forces.
