The future of social media in Gabon dominated discussions at a major digital regulation conference held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. From June 1 to 3, 2026, Germain Ngoyo Moussavou, President of Gabon’s Haute Autorité de la Communication (HAC), engaged in high-level talks at the Abidjan 2 event. Organized under the auspices of the African Communication Regulators Network (RIARC) and the Francophone Media Regulators Network (REFRAM), the conference brought together regulators, digital experts, and global platform representatives to address challenges in artificial intelligence, content moderation, and communication freedom.
