The detention of political figure Ndiaga Seck has ignited widespread controversy and allegations of political manipulation. Cheikh Bara Ndiaye has robustly defended Ousmane Sonko, dismissing the implications surrounding this case as malicious attempts to undermine his reputation.
Political personality Ndiaga Seck was taken into custody on Friday, facing suspicions of unnatural acts. His arrest followed his mention in a separate judicial proceeding involving another individual.
The matter swiftly escalated into a political debate following remarks made by journalist Madiambal Diagne. Diagne reportedly drew a connection between the accused and his alleged close ties to Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
Deputy Cheikh Bara Ndiaye vehemently challenged this interpretation. He condemned what he views as a political amalgamation, asserting that certain analyses are designed to damage the public image of specific prominent figures.
The parliamentarian further commended Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko’s conduct, describing it as exemplary in handling the situation. He stated that Sonko insisted on allowing the judicial process to proceed without any interference.
Currently held in police custody, Ndiaga Seck is anticipated to appear before the investigating judge in Linguère this Monday as the legal proceedings continue.
