Cameroun strengthens administrative document security with new tech solutions

The Cameroonian Ministry of Transport is accelerating efforts to modernize and secure official documents through innovative technological solutions.

Minister Ngallè Bibéhè examines cutting-edge solutions to combat document fraud

Minister of Transport Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhè recently convened a high-level meeting with key officials from the National Printing Office and Impact Palmarès R&D to explore advanced technologies that will enhance the security of administrative documents and transportation titles across Cameroon.

Innovative approach targets document forgery and revenue protection

During the discussions, representatives from Impact Palmarès R&D unveiled a groundbreaking technical solution designed to make official documents virtually tamper-proof while simplifying verification processes. The proposed system would integrate multiple security layers to prevent counterfeiting and streamline authentication procedures.

The meeting also addressed critical areas including the security of transportation titles issued by the Ministry, secure watermarking of official letterheads, and improving traceability of administrative documents to optimize non-tax revenue collection.

Careful evaluation required before implementation

While praising the potential of the proposed solutions, Minister Ngallè Bibéhè emphasized the importance of conducting thorough technical, legal, administrative, and financial assessments before any implementation can proceed. The ultimate goal remains to bolster the reliability and security of all official documents in circulation throughout Cameroon.
