On 24 June 2026, the Cameroon Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Crafts (Ccima) gathered private sector representatives to draft proposals for the upcoming 2027 finance law.

The consultation aimed to collect, analyse and align the concerns of economic operators ahead of planned talks with the Directorate General of Taxes. Discussions centred on improving the national tax framework, enhancing business competitiveness and making the business environment more attractive. At the end of the session, around twenty proposals were put forward.

This initiative reflects a desire to strengthen public-private dialogue and promote a tax system that better matches the realities of Cameroon’s economy.
