President Romuald Wadagni of Bénin commenced an official friendship and working visit to Burkina Faso, arriving in Ouagadougou on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
Upon his descent at Ouagadougou International Airport, President Wadagni was warmly greeted by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The two heads of state then observed the national anthems being played, followed by a ceremonial review of military honors.

Following the formal reception, the Burkinabè and Béninois leaders engaged in a private, one-on-one discussion held within the airport’s distinguished honor lounge.

Subsequently, both presidents proceeded to the Koulouba Presidential Palace, where a crucial working session was scheduled to take place.
