Bénin: primary school exam results for 2026 session to be released this Friday
After weeks of eager anticipation, candidates for the Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) 2026 session in Bénin are set to receive their results this Friday. The official deliberation is scheduled for 10:30 AM, determining the academic future for 286,995 students who participated across the nation.

The fate of primary school students in Bénin who sat for the Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) 2026 exams will soon be known. The official results are slated for release this Friday, commencing at 10:30 AM. A total of 286,995 candidates participated in the examinations, which were conducted nationwide from June 1st to June 4th. This figure includes 149,424 boys and 138,571 girls, who were distributed across 860 examination centers throughout the country.
This year, the official launch ceremony for the examination took place at the Gbofoly public primary school, located in the commune of Aplahoué. Notably, the 2026 session also accommodated 97 candidates with special needs, among whom 36 were girls. These particular students were spread across 13 dedicated centers to ensure appropriate conditions for their participation.
The number of candidates for this session saw a significant increase of 5.56% compared to the previous year’s figures, a trend observed in the national statistics for maternal and primary education.
As the deliberation approaches this Friday, thousands of candidates and their families across Bénin are holding their breath. The impending results will not only mark the conclusion of their primary educational journey but also signify the gateway to secondary schooling and new academic horizons.
