During a recent press engagement, Aminata Touré, the general supervisor for the Diomaye Président coalition, reflected on the removal of former Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.
According to Touré, Ousmane Sonko’s tenure as head of government ultimately ended in failure, which necessitated his dismissal. She remarked with a touch of irony, “We appointed you Prime Minister, entrusted you with critical files, yet you proved incapable of action, leading to your removal.”
Aminata Touré further asserted that genuine courage is demonstrated by resolving the challenges faced by Senegalese citizens through the effective application of one’s skills, strategic thinking, and established networks. She contrasted this with merely exercising one’s prerogatives for two years without delivering concrete solutions to the nation’s pressing difficulties.
