The Algerian delegation from Sonelgaz International, currently in N’Djamena for a technical mission focused on an upcoming 50 MW power plant project, is wrapping up its visit to Chad. A farewell dinner hosted by the Chadian Minister of Water and Energy at a local hotel marked the conclusion of this three-day engagement.

The evening’s program featured traditional performances, a shared buffet, and the ceremonial cutting of a cake, all underscoring the deep-rooted partnership between Chad and Algeria. Following intensive technical discussions, on-site inspections of the selected project location, and field visits, the Sonelgaz International team expressed readiness to support Chad in boosting its energy output, ensuring broader electricity access for communities nationwide.

Chadian officials emphasized that the 50 MW power plant initiative represents a tangible demonstration of solidarity and highlights the strong bilateral ties nurtured between Chad and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
